I’m Tarlaye, the face behind Curly Wurly and your go-to lash and brow artist here in Alexandra, Central Otago. What began in 2019 as a small dream in my grandma’s sunny lounge has grown into a multi-award-winning beauty studio known for bespoke lash artistry, healthy lash care, and genuine client connection.

Since earning my qualifications in 2019, I’ve been dedicated to learning everything I can about my craft - from advanced in-person training with top educators to mastering international techniques online. My goal has always been simple: to create beautiful, long-lasting results that make every client feel confident and cared for.

In 2025, Curly Wurly expanded into permanent makeup, offering Ombre Brow Tattooing - a natural, soft-shaded tattoo technique designed to enhance your brows and simplify your daily routine. This next step has been months in the making, combining my passion for artistry with a commitment to detail, safety, and individual beauty.

Over the years, Curly Wurly has gone from humble beginnings to global recognition, proudly receiving multiple NZ Lash Awards and, most recently, two international lash awards celebrating the craftsmanship and heart behind every set.
